A Former Workers Cottage Was Converted Into A Minimal Store

Humphrey+Edwards architects have converted a former workers cottage into a minimal store for the luxury mens & womens clothing English brand ‘Sunspel‘ in Melbourne, Australia. The store is located on Gertrude Street which is full of shops, cafes and galleries. Architects left a lot of original details from the former interior – wooden staircase, facade and the backyard. In order to reflect the design of the Sunspel store in London, new herringbone floors and other wooden details such as hangers were added.
