A Former Workers Cottage Was Converted Into A Minimal Store

Humphrey+Edwards architects have converted a former workers’ cottage into a minimal store for the luxury men & women’s clothing English brand ‘Sunspel’ in Melbourne, Australia. The store is located on Gertrude Street which is full of shops, cafes, and galleries. Architects left a lot of original details from the former interior – wooden staircase, facade, and the backyard. To reflect the design of the Sunspel store in London, new herringbone floors and other wooden details such as hangers were added.
