Combine the spirit of leisure activities and still be at work. Sounds impossible and almost like a dream right? The architects TKEZ made this idea visual and created a functional, modern, spacious office space for the workers. A three-lane running track weaves around the office for a football app company creates integrity with the work environment, which needs to reflect modern thinking and the process.

TKEZ team from Munich designed the office which is 1.400 square meters, which is based inside a former factory building in Berlin’s Prenzlauerberg area. They intended to keep the original structure, which gives that solid look, combined with the green elements, and smooth edges.

“Our studio was approached by the Berlin-based firm Onefootball, which programs the world’s most used football app and connects more than 14 million fans from all over the world, to design their new headquarters. Custom-fit to the young firm’s sporty spirit, we designed a work environment for 90 employees, fulfilling all the needs and requirements of multi-functional contemporary office space.” – mentions Tanjo Klöpper, the founding partner at TKEZ.

The main element – the track becomes an eye-catching detail, which also has the function to show the way around the office. The track leads from a lift in the center of the office, where staff and visitors enter and pass turfed meeting rooms partitioned with floor-to-ceiling glazing.

The atmosphere fills the hub of an old factory in Berlin, providing an innovative space for employees and fans to live out the heart-beat frenzy of the world’s most popular sport. Also, Onefootball’s logo brings to mind road signs, circle-and-rectangle figures warning drivers of pedestrian pathways, or children playing.
