Living almost twenty years between the rue Saint Honoré and the Tuileries, Sarah Lavoine navigates in an expensive neighbourhood by heart. This wonderful creation of her’s, a duplex apartment in the heart of Paris, flows with life and style, with a mixture of various artsy bits and details and simply looks like a fun place to live.
The palette of this interior was picked up to have a few dense colors and a strong identity, therefore the idea behind it was to enhance and make the bright colours pop from ubiquitous black and white as usual. The stairway of this Parisian apartment looks like a ship’s deck. The dark metal stairs, mirrors that seem like illuminators and a crisp blue wall – it just gives that dizzying feel like sailing on a boat, doesn’t it? Well the whole apartment seems to be designed on a similar style – the whole basics and decor is plainly achromatic, with a bright colour for an accent and a mixture of a mid-century modern and contemporary furniture along with other decor elements. If you’re day is gray, filled with fog and there’s no sunlight, I’m sure this apartment will lift the dose of colour for the day.
