Littorinahavet 7 is a private holiday residence built for a young couple on Bungenäs, Sweden. The house, designed by Skälsö Arkitekter, represents a simple and minimal Swedish design. Client wanted a little house in which the interior and exterior would be equally important. Despite the low budget, Skälsö Arkitekter managed to integrate the house in this small but spectacular piece of land. The house is built only a few meters from the old quarry. The L-shaped house is formed by the natural landscape and creates a cozy courtyard where natural environment is touched as little as possible. The facade of untreated pine panels will eventually turn gray and become a natural part of the site. The house opens up, with large glass windows and doors towards south and the lime stone quarry, concrete plints are placed by every exterior door as a barrier between the interior wooden floor and the exterior gravel.  On the roof terrace you can see the sea in three directions.
