Minimal House To Relax Your Mind
This minimal house located in central Wales is called the ‘Life House’. Designed by British architect John Pawson, the facade of the house is clad in black bricks, while the interior is bright and filled with soft colors. Known for his minimalistic style, Pawson once again designed a generous and harmonic space. John Pawson was commissioned by Living Architecture and he spent almost five years working on this project creating a quiet space for one to relax his mind. The architect was influenced by Japanese design and the architecture of Benedictine monks. To develop the concept, the architect consulted with the philosopher Alain de Botton. This resulted in a space that is designed for guests to relax. There’s a selection of transcendent and calming music in the bedroom, a library with therapeutic literature, and spectacular views over the Welsh mountains. Pawson has also added a meditation chamber dug into the hillside.
