Architecture studio Blaanc built this single floor house located in vineyard in Montijo, Portugal. One of the main requirements was to prioritize the sustainability. Lisbon-based architects applied a traditional Portuguese building technique known as ‘Rammed Earth’ to home’s common areas. This technique not only creates a rough and natural texture on facade but also ensures optimal acoustic and thermal insulation inside. Surrounded by vines, the ‘Vineyard House’ has a minimal visual impact on the landscape by aligning alongside the natural elements that compose the peaceful backdrop,” says Blaanc.
