A Minimal Wooden House Reflects The Flow Of The River
Paul Bernier designed this wooden house called ‘Chalet Estérel’ that is situated between a small river and a slope at Lac Grenier in Quebec, Canada. One-storey’s house walls are covered with hickory and it has a small deck on the roof. Outside, the house blends with the rugged surrounding nature. As architects say, the angular shape of the house was determined by the surrounding landscape. The structure of the house reflects the flow of the river – it bends, opends and narrows.
