Caroline Street House

Caroline Street House

A simplistic, crisp interior filled with lots of light and pastel-hued accents. That’s one way to describe this lovely and cozy home. Whether you offset gentle shades with crisp white, combine them with vivid colors or go subtle you’re sure to have a winning interior. It is known, that anything pops in a completely white room, the same goes for pastel colors. The secret to making it work – save the pastels for accent pieces, such as lighting, textiles, and artwork, and don’t overdo. If you’ll use too much pastel, the eye will automatically focus on white or another color as an accent. What makes the pastel and white interior have a crisp and fresh feeling is the tiny vivid colored details. In this interior, you’ll see that the eye at first catches the vivid deep royal green cushion and plant leaves.

The interior creators from Fiona Lynch design office describe their work like this: “We were approached by the owners of this elegant Victorian terrace, tasked with redefining a narrow space defined by a column which sits adjacent to the kitchen. Its narrow proportions meant space often went unused, however after consultation we proposed a tranquil retreat removed from the bustle of the family home. Sheer curtains define zones and create a sense of privacy. Custom joinery adds structure and maximizes the limited space. Our furniture selection completed the project, with textured linens in soft greys and pastel pinks the final touch for a calm and peaceful escape.”

Enjoy the rest of your day, and take a look at this inspiring interior.
