Flow of Light in Cozy Tel Aviv Apartment
Interior design is not only a work of selecting matching furniture and colors. This apartment that we’re posting today gets the natural light and fresh air only from the windows, that are on both sides of the apartment. In order to eliminate the airflow problem designers placed a window in the middle of the apartment which also overlooks a part of the bedroom space. The window not only helps with circulation, but it also lets light pass through and provides a view through to the exterior window that looks out onto the garden. This minimal and simple apartment feels cozy and clean as most of the surfaces are painted white, which not only helps the light bounce around but also visually expands a modest-sized space. To add some accents in this apartment the black and bits of brighter colors such as green, blue, and pink were chosen. The extra bedroom was placed behind a glass partition wall with additional curtains for privacy if needed. They can be kept open to let the natural light flow and to give the interior a sense of a bigger space. Storage spaces in the hall and in both bedrooms have an original and similar design – differently rotated milled handles for every door.
