Fontevraud Abbey Hotel

Since I’m a sucker for everything with History and character, coming around these wonderful renovations and conversions form something old and neglected to something sophisticated and contemporary is always worthwhile. Everything is definitely in balance with today’s the Fontevraud Abbey’s new hotel. Designed by architects Gabor MESTER DE PARAJD, the soothing and sleek design leaves room for the historically charged interiors of one of the vastest monastic sites from the Middle Ages, to continue be the focal point of every space. This landmark building seems to be one of the chicest hotels that can be known for it’s elegant modern style paired together with historical classic architecture. Everything in here is thoroughly arranged and designed, from custom furniture and textile decorations, to lighting, woodwork and restoration. I bet wandering in this hotel feels like being in a modern costume drama movie. Take a look at this absolutely astonishing interior and architecture piece, which without a doubt could be described as a piece of art.
