Historical Warsaw With a Modern Twist
Historical Warsaw architecture never looked so polished and modern before interior designer Moszczynska Puchalska got ahold of it. The project was to design a private bachelor apartment for a fashion journalist. The modern interior that is matched with bits of mid-century modern and contemporary details work amazingly well inside this early 20th century building in the center of historical Warsaw. Apartment floor is a jaw dropping natural laquered parquet, which is arranged in a chevron pattern. “Finishing materials include an oak floor and terrazzo composite in the bathroom and kitchen – both typical for Warsaw’s pre-war apartments but used with a new approach.” Since the old apartment had it’s ceiling preserved as it is, the lighting had to be well planed and hung up mostly on the walls and on the existing cords.
