Embraced from one side by the magnificent Estrela park, and from the other by breathtaking views of the Tagus, this residential project takes place in one of the most iconic neighborhoods of our beloved Lisbon – Lapa.

The main goal of the project was to enhance the qualities of the original building, giving fresh and modern air to the parts that were damaged more by age. To this end, the main transformation takes place on the last floor, where a novel wooden cover hides the non-esthetical heating equipment. Continuing this wooden line, a practical and modern wardrobe arises. By these small touches, the room suddenly becomes a warmer place, where to enjoy the beautiful views of the traditional Lapa, its red roof tiles, its white walls, and, of course, the calm blue river.

On the rest of the floors, the simplification of the lines, the demolition of the false ceiling and the substitution of some old-fashioned materials by new high-quality ones, create a unique building which, without losing the traditional Portuguese soul, scents with a fresh touch Iberian architecture air.
