Momo Grill By Ramūnas Manikas
Momo Grill is a small and cozy restaurant right in a centre of Klaipėda in Lithuania. This place offers a simple but professional menu. So the interior represents this chef‘s idea of food culture . The space, designed by interior designer, graphic designer and photographer Ramūnas Manikas creates a modern, democratic atmosphere, that also is a clean place for chefs creations.
In order to create o non-binding place, there was formed an open kitchen so when the restaurant is open you can see the kitchen staff working. For wall finishing designer used white glazed tiles, that sort of continues from the kitchen. These tile decorations are used for newly designed window sills. Interesting that the restaurant floor has no plinths, they were replaced with the same white glazed tiles.
Restaurant colours and textures create a sensual contrast. Dark brown wood furniture, grey painted walls and laminated floor together with black colour chairs, table legs and menu blackboard stands out in this interior, but big areas of light walls create a balance.
The industrial chandeliers, wall lamps, Scandinavian seating and shelves full of miscellaneous objects and flowers create a minimal yet decorative space, the ideal setting for this modern eatery.
