The Château! The Château?
The Château de la Resle is one of these typical French countryside châteaux. But only typical from outside. I look closer at the items, but I can’t see any whispers of a standard royal design with everything gilt-edged. But inside, décor broadcasts, that this residence is perfect for modern lords.
I am totally in love with a minimal and contemporary bathroom, built by Patricia Urquiola for the Italian brand “Agape”. I still smell here quirky elegance, nevertheless two black cold-blooded washbasins and a tin bath. Overall there is a lot of richly mat black color everywhere, but it looks so cozy, that it would not even be scary to see a château‘s ghost here.
I am impressed with some interior elements, that add a pinch of unconventionality. I talk about the spiral staircase, built by a craftsman in Venice; contemporary paintings with colors of Mediterranean sea and a mirror-like unfolded paper box.
Oh, by the way, You could pretend lord here for a €475 per night!
