Warm and Lively Australian Home

Today is the day I’ve waited for a long time, the day when you can enjoy the sun and warmth and the spring outdoor activities! It just feels so great to not need any outerwear at last. So on this wonderful occasion, we’re sharing a lovely, award-winning project which shows that there are plenty of design advantages and day-to-day benefits of buying the house next door. Grab your lunch, and enjoy our today’s post with this beautiful house.

Who lives here: Architect Andrew Benn; wife Alice Penna, an interior designer, and their dog Nellie. Andrew’s mother, Professor Suzanne Benn lives next door with a barrister, Dr. Andrew Martin.

Style of home: Two 1920s workers cottages rebuilt as three houses over 11 months. The family homes link via the yard; the other is a self-contained rental.

The style of their home is so Australian – a light color palette, a lot of natural light, and simple, but modern furniture.
