In collaboration with architect Ugo Dattilo, Italian architecture studio Eutropia Architettura have renovated an old rural complex located in Chianti region, Tuscany. One of the main goals was to put all the contemporary needs of today’s modern city dweller into the house and at the same time preserve the rural architecture traditions. So, architects decided to make as little as possible changes to the exterior and focus on the interior of the house. Inside, architects have mixed old and raw materials, with modern and contemporary style. Rural materials such as stone/brick walls, exposed wooden ceiling beams were combined together with modern ones such as glass and steel.
