Living almost twenty years between the rue Saint Honoré and the Tuileries, Sarah Lavoine navigates in an expensive neighborhood by heart. This wonderful creation of hers, a duplex apartment in the heart of Paris, flows with life and style, with a mixture of various artsy bits and details and simply looks like a fun place to live.
The palette of this interior was picked up to have a few dense colors and a strong identity, therefore the idea behind it was to enhance and make the bright colors pop from ubiquitous black and white as usual. The stairway of this Parisian apartment looks like a ship’s deck. The dark metal stairs, mirrors that seem like illuminators and a crisp blue wall – it just gives that dizzying feel like sailing on a boat, doesn’t it? Well, the whole apartment seems to be designed on a similar style – the whole basics and decor are achromatic, with a bright color for an accent and a mixture of mid-century modern and contemporary furniture along with other decor elements. If your day is gray, filled with fog and there’s no sunlight, I’m sure this apartment will lift the dose of color for the day. Take a look at it below and don’t forget to check out other posts as well!
