Creativity and Individualism in San Francisco
Hey! Today we’re exploring San Francisco! Unfortunately not Silicon Valley, where I can bet we’ll find some amazing office interiors. But at this time, please, meet Nir Stern, architect and interface designer from Turkey. He designed his home in San Francisco in collaboration with architect, James Hill. See if they inspire You.
What I like here most is individualism. There are so many unexpected rebellious interior decisions that stretch the rules. Majestic Victorian style walls and wide-open spaces shelter cold and minimal steel furniture. Iron bed in the middle of the guest room is absolutely shocking. Framework of the bed seems like built by old and rusty taps. I love that lonely black fireplace waiting after huge sliding door. The rest of the house is eye catching too. Sitting-room is adjusted with very sterile looking kitchen and equipped with wonderful ancient kettle! In this area I am mostly surprised by the super open bath in the middle of the living room. But that’s great, that’s eco-minded! So, if You could wave a magic wand, how would You transform Your area?
